Manager - Trade Associations

Manager - Trade Associations

Overview

Trade Associations, both large and small, are a rich source of leads for Convenient Capital. There are over 1,200 such associations in the UK. They have a rich and diversified membership of both very small (sole traders) and large multinational companies and everything in between. Our aim is to put in place a “Preferential Membership Scheme” for working capital finance. This will entail offering what is seen as a better market proposition for members.

We will provide members with a solution whereby we put in place a bespoke funding scheme enabling us to offer financing to members at no cost to the Trade Association. This funding will be our standard propositions, not different. We may “White Label” the Scheme, such as “Plumbers Trade Association Finance.” We will pay a commission to the Trade Association if they want it and are able to take it. It's a no-cost add-on to the member that's important.

This Sales Role Requires:

  • Establishing and building relationships with Trade Associations to gain their “Buy-In” to our scheme. This involves tenacity and selling skills.
  • Making an appraisal of member quality.
  • Making an appraisal of the suppliers they buy from - quality, credit standing, and reputation.
  • Putting the scheme together and writing up the credit committee report for approval.
  • On-boarding the first six members and then handing over to the operational staff to manage the relationship; operational staff are responsible for onboarding all new members going forward.
  • Each Quarter, liaising with the Trade Association and six members to check all is going well. Sorting out any issues.
