Business Experience

  • Business development at national & regional level via third party sources e.g. Banks, accountants & other financial institutions
  • Sourcing, development, and management of strategic third party B2B relationships including shared client funding arrangements. 
  • Expertise at dealing with all sizes of business, from small owner managed businesses to international groups up to £50m turnover.
  • Business to business sales at board level.
  • In depth knowledge of risk issues for Factoring, Invoice Discounting, Trade Finance & Credit Insurance
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Ability to analyse & interpret financial statements/information and manage protracted and sometimes complex transactions.
  • Appraisal of a company both financially and commercially to assess trading viability.
  • Structuring complex Trade Finance transactions to meet client and funder needs.

- Bank of Ireland 1986 -1987 – Sales Manager

- Barclays Bank Group (Factoring & Invoice Discounting) 1988 -1994 – Sales Manager

- NM Rothschild Group (Five Arrows) 1994 – 2001 – Snr New Business Manager

- Close Invoice Finance 2001 -2002 – Regional Sales Director

- Lenlyn Group – (Merchant Trade Finance) 2002 -2005 –Sales & Marketing Manager

- Coface Receivables Finance 2006 – 2010 –National Sales Manager for Coface SA (a subsidiary of Natixis – the second largest bank in France) left (November 2010) following an internal re- organisation.

- Most recent role 2011 -2019 (May) role: Director of Operations for Working Capital Partners London based provider of Invoice Finance & Trade Finance. Mix of client risk assessment & onboarding, client review, new product structure and in-house process design plus management of JV funding situations.
