Manager - Supply Chain Finance

Manager - Supply Chain Finance

Overview

Suppliers, both large and small, are a rich source of leads for Convenient Capital. This is because they have to provide credit terms to many customers/buyers which is costly and affects their cash flow. Some buyers will pay cash.

Supply Chain Finance provides a solution whereby we put in place a bespoke funding scheme for the Supplier enabling us to offer financing to their customers/buyers at no cost to the Supplier. The Supplier introduces us to their Buyers; we make a credit assessment and suitability check and put in place a Credit Line for that Supplier/Buyer relationship. When the Buyer buys goods, they upload the invoice to their account with us and we pay our approved Supplier within 24 hours. We will fund the invoice for 90 days after we make payment. The cost is borne by the Buyer. No brainer for the Supplier. We need proof of delivery and copy PO attached to each Invoice we pay. This is Buyer balance sheet risk.

This Sales Role Requires:

  • Establishing and building relationships with Suppliers to gain their “Buy-In” to our scheme. This involves tenacity and selling skills.
  • Making appraisal of buyer quality and the supplier’s goods they sell.
  • Making appraisal of the Supplier quality, credit standing, and reputation.
  • Putting the scheme together and writing up the credit committee report for approval.
  • On-boarding the first six customer/buyers and then handing over to the operational staff to manage the relationship; operational staff responsible for onboarding all new buyers going forward.
  • Each Quarter, liaising with Supplier and six buyers to check all is going well. Sort out any issues.
